About Campus life
Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University is located at Takatpur region of the Mayurbhanj District. It is spread in approximately 99 acres of land area. The University campus is well connected to nearby districts. The University is segregated into an Administrative block and other educational blocks. Smart classrooms are available with the latest facilities.
Library: There is a fully automated Central library in the University. It houses 51,000+ books, and has subscribed to around 85 journals and about 24 magazines. Students are provided access to the e-journals powered ProQuest through Odisha University Consortium. Additional e-resources are available for the students through EBSCO, ScienceDirect, and Elsevier. There are separate reading areas in the library. Reprography and e-book making facilities are also available for the students.
Laboratories: The Science departments have various laboratories with requisite facilities to provide a hands-on practical experience to the students. Moreover, the Computer Centre is equipped with around 50 systems. These are connected to the Internet to cater the high-end programming needs of the students.
Hostel: The North Odisha University has separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls nearby the campus. The hostel rooms are adequately furnished. Each hostel has a common room that is equipped with amenities like TV, newspapers, and indoor games. Common and compulsory mess services are provided to the students.
Sports: There is an active Sports Council in the University which is responsible for conducting various sports activities and tournaments at different levels. The University annually organises Inter-University tournaments. The students actively participate in various sports with enthusiasm.
Medical facilities: The University has a dispensary in the campus with the availability of practitioners who provide medical assistance to the students and staff
Other Facilities: Guest house, seminar hall, conference hall, bank, cafeteria, etc.
