The campus of the university is ragging free and do not discriminate between the students on the basis of gender, caste, or creed. AMU is located at 130 km from Southeast of Delhi and 2 km away from the Aligarh Railway Station. The university has also established multiple clubs that helps the students in staying active, socialising, and showcasing their talents. The names of the clubs available here are University Film Club, AMU Robo Club, Red Ribbon Club, Riding Club, etc. The infrastructure of the university is modern, with interactive classrooms, internet services, a cafeteria, a disability unit, and laboratories, along with other amenities and services like: Library: Maulana Azad Library is the Central Library of the university that fulfills all the academic needs of the scholars. The library covers all the reading and learning materials for the courses it offers along with some famous and rare books, manuscripts, etc. The library caters to the academic needs of students as it has online and offline resources like more than 1380000 books, references, 15000+ theses, dissertations, 2200+ e-books, 300+ printed journals, 2210+ e-journals, 16100+ manuscripts, 30+ online databases, magazines, newspapers, etc. In the Digital Research Centre of the library, the university has set up of 90+ computers and internet services for better online research. Hostel: The AMU campus is diverse in nature as it provides admission to students belonging to different castes or religions and students also come here from diverse states and cities. So, keeping this scenario in mind, the university has established furnished and spacious hostels/halls for students. The hostel buildings are different for boys and girls and each room of the hostel is well furnished, well lit, spacious, and clean. The hostel’s discipline is maintained by the warden and 24x7 security guards are also present in the hostel campus. A common dining area is provided to the hostellers where they are served with home-like delicious and healthy food. For the entertainment of the hostellers, the hostels have facilities like indoor games, reading area, sports club, Cultural & Literature society, etc. Sports: Aligarh Muslim University facilitates its students with world-class sports infrastructure as it understands the importance of games and physical activities in the student’s life.
