About Campus life
The campus area of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University is approximately 660 acres that houses around 13 schools within its premises. The university has a Students’ Development Section that assists students in enhancing their personalities in all aspects of life. It provides them multiple opportunities and a platform to showcase their talents by organising student centric development schemes and extra-curricular activities. The facilities provided by the university for its students are mentioned below:
Knowledge Resource Centre: To support the academic and research activities of the university, there is a Central Library within the premises. The collection at this knowledge resource centre includes 88700+ Books, 6800+ Back Volumes, 3000+ Textbooks, 6400+ Thesis, 5000+ e-Journals, 140+ Subscribed Journals, 900+ CDs / DVDs, etc.
Computer Centre: The University has a centralised computer centre that provides and supports computing activities for all the administrative departments.
Hostel: There are around 8 hostels in the university that provide accommodation for approximately 550+ boys and 750+ girls in separate buildings. These hostels offer rooms on single, double, and triple sharing basis. The hostels have facilities like Solar Water Heaters, Computer Lab, Wi-Fi connectivity, Study Tables, and other basic necessities.
Sports: To encourage physical fitness among students, the university has a Sports Department that organises various tournaments like Inter-Collegiate Sports Tournaments, Inter Group Tournaments, and Inter University Sports Tournaments. The campus has a Gymnasium that is equipped with modern facilities and equipment.
Healthcare Centre: The Healthcare Centre of the university is situated within a separate building and acquires an area of approximately 5600 sq. ft. A dedicated team of nursing staff and doctors have been appointed to provide students medical services.
Other Facilities: Bank, Post Office, Canteen, Guest House, etc.
