The overall area covered by the campus of Bihar Agricultural University is around 81.6 acres which is further categorised into two parts. The main campus is situated on the northern part and southern part consists of residence halls and farms. The Agricultural Research Information System Cell (ARIS) of the university plays a very important role in providing internet connectivity to multiple departments. The cell also comprises of a Computer Laboratory that allows students to perform technical tasks, use the internet, and access wide range of information from plenty of online resources. The campus houses multiple facilities for its students such as: Library: The University established a library to provide basic facility for academic and research activities such as collecting, storing, organising, and retrieving information from various online and printed resources. The library’s collection includes 73750+ Books, 70+ Journals, 1200+ Theses, 30+ Newspapers and Magazines, 4000+ Online Journals, 600+ Open Access Journals, and 3000+ eBooks. Shopping Complex: The Shopping Complex of the university includes General Store, Grocery Shop, ATM, Laundry Shop, Internet Café Store, Courier Store, Ice-cream Parlour, Gift Shop, Fast Food, Hall, Medical Store, Salon, etc. Canteen: The canteen is situated in a separate building within the campus. It functions as an integral part of the university that offers food and beverages at affordable prices. It maintains a student-friendly hygienic environment where students can spend spare time with their peers. Sports: There is a Games and Sports Society of the university that aims to educate and inspire students about the importance of health and fitness. The university has adequate infrastructure and facilities to conduct sports activities and tournaments. It has various grounds where students can play different games. Medical Facility: The University has a Hospital equipped with 30+ beds and 5+ ICU beds. The university has appointed qualified Doctors, Technical, and Non-Technical Medical staff to supervise all activities of the hospital. Ambulance facility has also been made available by the University for Emergency Cases. Other Facilities: Officer’s Club, Guest House, Krishi Sewa Kendra, Azolla Germplasm Bank, Vermicompost Production Unit, Dairy Unit, etc.
