SMVDU has begun its admission process for the academic session 2024. JEE Main session 2 result 2024 has been announced for paper 1. Candidates can visit NTA website at jeemain.nta.ac.in to check their results online. JoSAA registration will take place for the qualified candidates from June 10, 2024. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University has been established under the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Act, (Act. No. XII) in the year 1999. According to NIRF ranking 2022, SMVDU has been ranked 16th in the Architecture category and 101 in the Engineering category. The university is accredited with B++ by NAAC. With five faculties and 15+ academic departments, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers a plethora of programmes. The SMVDU courses include B.Tech, MBA, M.Tech, M.Sc, MA, PhD and so on. SMVDU admission to UG and PG courses are based on CUET. However, for courses like B.Tech, M.Tech or MBA, candidates are selected based on other tests too. For SMVDU PhD admissions, candidates having national or state-level qualifications like UGC/ CSIR NET, SLET, GATE, etc. are directly shortlisted for interview. Others need to appear for a research entrance test conducted by SMVDU. About Campus life
The university campus is rich in world-class facilities and is spread over 470 acres. As the university is focused on growth on theoretical as well as practical sectors, different labs are provided for different areas of interest. Its library is spread over 36000 Square yds area and it contents around 46,000, Books & more than 3000+ CD collections. The campus also has an auditorium "Matrika" having a seating capacity of 1000 persons, 700 at the ground floor and 300 at the balcony level. Students are also encouraged to take part in different sports facilities as the university organises different sports Programs at the campus itself. For Students coming from outside, the residential facility is provided on the campus itself. The Main Shopping Complex, close to the Medical Center consists of 10 shops which cater to virtually all the requirements of the residents of the university including students, staff and faculty members.
