Central University of Haryana was established in 2009 under an Act of Parliament for achieving growth, excellence, and research in various disciplines. This university is approved by UGC and AICTE, recognised by MHRD, and accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade. About Campus life
The university is located at Jant-Pali, Mahendergarh, Narnaul, and it is built in an area of 484 acres of land. The campus of the university is student-friendly, pollution-free, and well-maintained. The infrastructure of the university is dynamic and modern as it fulfills all the academic needs of the students. Apart from academics, the university has a range of clubs that helps the students socialising and follow their passion and the name of these clubs are Book Reading Club, Movie Club, Yuva Tourism Club, Yoga, Trekking, & Adventure Club, STEM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and many other clubs. The university provides the students with a ragging-free environment and has created a range of cells that listen to the problems of the students and stand against any kind of discrimination. The names of these cells are Women Empowerment Cell, OBC Cell, SC/ ST Cell, etc. For the university, the mental health of the students is important and therefore the university has established the Student Wellness & Psychological Counselling Cell and Central Students Counselling Cell. Both the cells look after the student’s mental wellness and provide them with a solution. At CUH, the students get the chance to learn in advanced, modern, and virtual classrooms in a fully Wi-Fi-enabled campus with fully equipped labs for practicals, along with other facilities like: Library: The University has a resourceful library known as Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Central Library. It follows an automated library system and it fulfills the academic and learning needs of the students from every discipline. It offers both printed and e-resources to the students like 6600+ e-books, e-journals, 54000+ printed books, 90+ theses, 23700+ titles, periodicals, printed national & international journals, newspapers, magazines, etc. The library and the reading room are fully air-conditioned and spacious with 24x7 Wi-Fi facilities. Computer systems are also present in the library to facilitate smooth online research. To support specially-abled students, the library has Divyangjan-friendly infrastructure. In addition to this, the library also provides stationary services to the students like photocopying, scanning, printing, etc. Hostel: CUH has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, and it is also divided into UG and PG hostels. The premise of each hostel is maintained, spacious, and provides a homely environment to the students. On the other hand, the rooms of the hostels are designed to provide natural light and ventilation in the room along with other services like room cleaning, water supply, etc. For the entertainment of the students, the hostel has a playing area, common room, TV room, reading room, gymnasium, and internet services round the clock. Security guards and wardens are present on the campus to look after the hostellers’ safety and needs. The university also runs mess services throughout the year to provide healthy and tasty food to the students residing in hostels. Sports: To fulfill the sports and gaming needs of the students, the Central University of Haryana Sports Council (CUHSC) provides major sports amenities and infrastructure to the students. CUHSC is also responsible for conducting Inter-University and All India Inter-University Sports competitions for students. The university has indoor and outdoor games for both boys and girls like Badminton, Chess, Boxing, Football, Netball, Handball, Judo, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Volleyball, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, etc. The university also motivates its students to be active and take part in various sports events and tournaments. Health Facilities: To provide health services and first aid facilities to the students, the university has established a Health Centre. This centre ensures good health of the students as health experts are present here to look after medical needs. Other Facilities: Transportation services, Banks, Post Office, ATM, etc.
