Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya was established in 1993 under the aegis of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Charitable Trust. It is a Deemed to be University which emphasises on integrating conventional knowledge with modern scientific practices. It aims at holistic development and embedding values in the students. About Campus life
SCSVMV provides state of the art infrastructure and facilities such as canteen, laboratories, seminar hall, Adi Sankara auditorium, cultural activities, student clubs, and others which are mentioned below: Library: Library is spread in 4640 square meter and plays a crucial role in selecting, organising, acquiring, and maintain accessible collection of 1 Lakh+ Books, 3000+ CD ROMs, subscription of 220+ National and International Journals, printed and non-printed materials, etc. Library has access to OPAC, NDL, etc. Hostel: There are 3 boys’ hostels which are known as Annapoorani hostel, Meenakshi hostel, and Visalakshi hostel. The Annapoorani hostel can accommodate 140+ students, Meenakshi hostel can accommodate 100+ students, and Visalakshi hostel can accommodate 200+ students. There are 2 girls’ hostels which are known as Sri Kamatchi Girls’ hostel and Sri Saraswathi Girls’ hostel. Girls’ hostels can accommodate 200+ students. Hostels have mess, indoor games room, reading room, lounge, gym, common room, Wi-Fi, laundry services, medical services, etc. Sports: The University has a department of Physical Education which helps the students to enhance their motor skills, physical fitness, cognitive abilities, confidence etc. and aims to inculcate team spirit and sportsmanship. The University organises inter college tournaments in Throwball, Volleyball, and Cricket. Medical: To cater to the medical needs of the students, there is a medical centre known as Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Medical Centre. The University has a dispensary where ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are available, day care wards, emergency room, laboratories to conduct tests, qualified dentists, etc.

The Annapoorani hostel can accommodate 140+ students, Meenakshi hostel can accommodate 100+ students, and Visalakshi hostel can accommodate 200+ students. There are 2 girls’ hostels which are known as Sri Kamatchi Girls’ hostel and Sri Saraswathi Girls’ hostel. Girls’ hostels can accommodate 200+ students.
