Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is an autonomous super specialty institution under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and has got ‘Deemed to Be University’ status under section 3 of UGC Act. The institute was established to provide world class training and teaching for curing liver and biliary diseases. ILBS is accredited by NAAC and is recognised by NIRF. Vision: The institute works with a vision to become a center of excellence globally for the prevention, cure, training, and research in liver, biliary, and allied sciences. Mission: ILBS mission is to provide international standard facilities for diagnosis and treatment, dedicated research and advanced training in the field of liver diseases and allied specialties. It also directs its efforts to serve as a torch-bearer model of health care by amalgamation of academic universities, clinical, and managerial skills of the corporate world. The institute offers more than 25 courses of PG, Doctorate, Certificate and M.Phil level. The following are some of the courses offered at ILBS, New Delhi. DM Hepatology M. ILBS was constructed in two phases. Phase 1 facilities include an emergency department, a blood bank, operation theaters, a radiology department, and a pathology laboratory. The phase -II facilities include a research complex, a guest house, a hepato-biliary oncology unit and an auditorium. Other than these facilities some other facilities provided by the institute are detailed below: Library: ILBS library provides access to its students of over 1000 learning resources which include books, journals, audio visuals, e-learning resources, etc. The library is a member of ERMED Consortium, nationwide electronic information resources via National Medical Library, DGHS, and Government of India. It is efficiently managed by a team of professionals. Medical Facilities: The institute has a handful of medical facilities being a Hospital. Some of the facilities served are OPD allowance to Staff / Faculty, on-site medical facilities, cashless medical treatment, indemnity insurance for doctors, etc. Hostel Facility: Separate Hostels for Residents’ and Nurses’ are available at the institute premise to provide comfortable accommodation with all the basic and some additional amenities. Other Facilities: In-house Fitness center, Recreation facility, Gym / Yoga center, Indoor game facilities, cafeteria, Crèche Facility, and more.
