About University

Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya was established as a Gurukul for girls in 1936 and was converted to a University by the name of Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya in 2006. It is also known as Bhagat Phool Singh Women's University and is committed to impart quality, easily accessible, and affordable education to rural women. BPSMV aims to help women acquire skills and knowledge, develop their self-esteem and character, and help them recognise their responsibilities and rights thus, making a difference in their lives. It is the first State Women University in North India which is accredited by NAAC with “B++” grade and approved by UGC. The constituent colleges of BPSMV are mentioned below: B.P.S. About Campus life

BPSMV is spread over 500 acres and has a lush green and pollution free environment. Students are provided world class infrastructure and facilities for their growth and development. The facilities provided by the University include classrooms, laboratories, auditorium, conference hall, day care centre, canteen, students clubs, legal aid centre, NCC, NSS, computer centre, guest house, panchakarma therapies, and more as mentioned below: Library: The Central Library has a collection of Journals, Books, Reference Books, Reports, Periodicals, Thesis, Dissertations, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Databases, e-Resources, e-Books, e-Journals, etc. It is spread over 9150 square feet and has a reading hall which can accommodate 90+ members. It also provides reprography service, reference service, INFLIBNET, DELNET, etc. Hostel: The University has 11 hostels for the students which are equipped with furnished rooms, mess, warden, gymnasiums, hostel libraries, recreational rooms, sports facilities, Wi-Fi, sanitary napkins and incinerator machine, and all the basic facilities. Mini Market: The mini market comprises of 10+ shops, shopping centre, and ATM which caters to the requirements of the students. Sports: The University has made it mandatory for women to participate at national and international level sports competitions to facilitate their holistic development. The department of physical education and sports organises competitive events and provides sports infrastructure for the students.
