Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research was established in 2004. It is a flagship institute which is part of a conglomerate of top education institutes of India under MAHER Trust. MAHER provides facilities to the students which include laboratories, auditorium, seminar halls, museum, sports, cultural activities, canteen, IT facilities, clubs, and facilities for women which include counseling room, female security, day care centre, gymnasium, sanitary napkin incinerator, common room, nursing station, etc. Other facilities provided by MAHER Chennai are mentioned below: Library: The Central Library has a collection of 47000+ Books, 285+ National and International Journals, Proceedings, Back Volumes, Magazines, Dissertations, Thesis, Newspapers, CDs / DVDs, E-Books, 28000+ E -Journals, access to online databases, etc. It offers reference services, reprographic services, book bank services, anti-plagiarism detection software, digital library, OPAC, Wi-Fi, etc. Hostel: Hostel facilities are provided to all the students. The hostel is equipped with well furnished rooms, mess, Wi-Fi, study room, common room, recreational facilities, and all the basic amenities. Medical: Hospital facilities are provided to the students which include high quality treatment and medical care, highly skilled and trained medical staff, medical equipment, patient centric facilities such as elevators, wheelchair ramps, etc.
