Maharishi Panini Sanskrit and Vedic Vishwavidyalaya (MPSVV) is a state university located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh established in 2008. It was formerly known as Maharshi Panini Sanskrit University or Maharishi Panini Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya. The university was renamed to its current name in 2010. Initially established with the motive to preserve and promote the Sanskrit language, MPSVV today offers courses in different disciplines. All MPSVV courses are recognised by the University Grants Commision (UGC). Courses at MPSVV are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The popular Maharishi Panini Sanskrit and Vedic Vishwavidyalaya courses include BA.B.Ed., MA in Yoga Studies, M.Phil in Vischircharya, certificate course in Astrology, diploma in Sanskrit Conversion, PG diploma in Yoga, etc. The admission to different courses are based on merit wherein the marks of the qualifying exams are taken into account. MPSVV admission is conducted on a yearly basis for all programmes. The admission process is carried out both online and offline. Candidates must refer to the course wise eligibility criteria and intakes before applying at MPSVV. The MPSVV courses fee is affordable and on average, ranges from Rs 3,000 to Rs 20,000 per year.

Maharishi Panini Sanskrit and Vedic Vishwavidyalaya is situated in a refreshing valley in about 25 acres of land near the ancient city of Ujjayini. The entire campus is a perfect blend of modern infrastructure and ancient touches. The first academic building of the campus “Panchavati” is a combination of five buildings designed in the form of ancient gurukuls. After that, the administrative buildings, hostels, playground, library, etc. follows. The central library located in the teaching department of MPSVV has access to more than 4,000 books. They include the Vedas, Puranas, Astrology, Grammar Prabhruti, Dharmashastra, other magazines and reference books on various subjects. MPSVV also has a grounds for various sports in the university. Along with this, facilities are also available for various games like basketball, chess, carrom, ball throw etc. Free wifi facility is provided by the MPSVV for enhancement of learning and keeping in view the interest of the students in research activities.
