About Campus life
Located at Alagappa Puram, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, the campus of the university is spread over an area of 440 acres with lush green surroundings. The infrastructure of the university is modern and state-of-the-art with an Anti-Ragging department to provide a positive learning space to the students. Apart from this, the university has other physical facilities like a fully enabled Wi-Fi building with fast internet services, hi-tech Laboratories, Computer Labs, and, well-structured Classrooms, along with other amenities and services like:
Central Library: Alagappa University has a Central Library with both print and digital resources available for the scholars. The library is built on an area of 2012 sq. mt. and has a seating capacity of 200+ students in one go. This library provides an excellent collection of books as there are more than one lakh books covering every faculty, 140+ printed periodicals, 1400+ theses, newspaper clips, references, 6000+ online journals, 130000+ e-theses, etc. Moreover, to comply with the students needs for stationary etc., the university has provided essential equipment like binding services, reprography, and printers.
Hostels: The University has three hostels, one for women, one for men, and one for scholars. The hostels are well maintained, spacious, and fulfill all the basic needs of the students.
Auditorium: The University has a well-established and functional L.C.T.L. Palaniappa Chettiar Memorial Auditorium with world-class facilities and amenities. The auditorium is centrally air-conditioned and has a seating capacity of 500+ people in one go.
Canteen: The University has safe and hygienic canteen services for students. It serves delicious and freshly cooked food to the students at affordable rates. The canteen is built on an area of 2200 sq. ft. and has enough space for the students to have their meal.
Other Facilities: Convocation Hall, Sports Club, basic-need Store, etc.
