VTU conducts admission to B.Tech courses on the basis of KCET scores. The provisional answer key is already released and the final answer key will be released on May 10, 2024. KCET 2024 results for admissions at VTU will be released on May 20, 2023 on the official website. Visvesvaraya Technological University was established in the year 1998 in the Belgavi town of Karnataka. It was also commonly referred to as VTU Belgaum or VTU Belgavi. VTU is one of the largest technological universities in India. It is recognised for its excellence in ‘Engineering & Technical Education, Research and Innovations’. The university currently has 182 affiliated colleges, 1 constituent college, and 25 autonomous colleges. As per the NIRF Report 2022, VTU has an overall rank of 100 with a score of 44.35, a university rank of 72 with a score of 44.22, a management rank of 76 with a score of 45.15, and an engineering rank of 49 with a score of 50.20. VTU courses list comprises 37 undergraduate programmes and 96 postgraduate programmes, along with doctoral level and M.Sc (Engineering) by Research courses under seven faculties. VTU admissions are done both on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam or on the basis of the entrance exam conducted against the courses. VTU placements are conducted every year through the centralised placement cell, also known as VTU-CPC. Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, SLK, Mu-Sigma, Robert Book, Continental and KEC International are some of the top recruiters visiting the VTU campus placement drive every year.
