The Central University of Kashmir was established in March 2009 in Srinagar, Kashmir. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is accredited with a “B++” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Currently, the University offers UG, PG and PhD programmes under various streams, including Science, Technology, Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Computer Application and more. These programmes are offered under nine constituent schools. It follows a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for the evaluation of all UG and PG programmes.
