About Campus life
Located at CR Rao Road, Gachibowli, the campus of the university is spread in an area of 2300 acres. The infrastructure of the university is dynamic and caters to the academic needs of the students. University focuses on providing a ragging-free and comfortable campus environment to the students. Apart from this, the university has a Psychological Counselling Unit (PCU) that looks after the mental wellbeing of the students and guides them with their academic, personal, or professional issues. This unit is a part of Dean Student Welfare Office and expert counselors are present in the campus to look after the students. To remove discrimination and provide equal opportunities to all, the university has established an Equal Opportunity Cell. The university has well built and furnished classrooms with excellent ventilation, Wi-Fi enabled campus, well equipped labs, and various other facilities and services like:
Library: The University has a well stocked Indira Gandhi Memorial Library that covers all the disciplines offers by the university. The library offers both online and offline reading materials to the students as it has a massive collection of books, e-books, national & foreign journals, periodicals, e-journals, publications, newspapers, dissertations, CDs, DVDs, project reports, etc. It is equipped with fast internet services and has a comfortable reading area.
Computer Centre: The University has a well furnished and modern computer centre that caters to the IT needs of the students. This computer centre is equipped with comfortable seating, latest computer systems, and updated software & hardware.
Hostel: UOH has excellent accommodation facilities for students as it owns 20+ hostels with a population of 4500+ hostellers. The campus of the university is pollution free, green, and is located inside the university’s premises. To maintain the hostel’s decorum and to provide safety to the hostellers, Chief Warden and Deputy Chief Wardens are present in the hostel campus. The room of each hostel is spacious, furnished, and well lit. Mess facilities are also provided to the students staying in hostels and it serves healthy home-like food to the students.
Cafeteria: The University owns two cafeterias located at the North and South side of the campus. These cafeterias provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the students at affordable rates with comfortable seating area and hygienic kitchen.
Sports: To help the students stay fit and healthy, UOH has arranged excellent gaming and sports facilities. The university has a sports complex for both boys and girls with a range of indoor and outdoor game facilities like Volleyball court, 400 meters Running track, Kho-Kho playing ground, Open Karate Dojo, Badminton court, Table Tennis, Carom, Chess, Cricket Pavilion, Football field, etc. Apart from this, the university has a well furnished and equipped Gymnasium and a Yoga Centre with expert trainers. The university also encourages its students to take part in various inter university sports competitions and tournaments.
Health Facilities: UOH has a Health Centre that provides primary health services and benefits to the students 24x7. The university has an Outpatient department (OPD) that looks after the academic needs of the students and is equipped with facilities like X-ray and laboratory with pharmacy facilities. To handle severe emergency situations, ambulance services are also provided.
