Located at Tiruvalam Road, Katpadi, Tamil Nadu, the modern infrastructure of VIT is built on an area of 372 acres. The campus of VIT is designed to foster training and education to students in a smooth and modern way with the help of fast internet connection, IT amenities, and other facilities like:
Library: With a massive collection of reading and research material, the Central Library of VIT is built on an area of 7770 sq m. With comfortable and calm seating & reading space, the library has a collection of textbooks, volumes, national & international journals, magazines, e-books, e-journals, CDs, DVDs, and other audio cassettes. Students can use this library anytime during academic hours as it provides great exposure to the students and helps them in their academics and research processes.
Hostels: VIT has constructed modern, safe, comfortable, and up-to-date hostel facilities for the students. VIT campus has 24 hostels, out of which 6 blocks are for girls and 18 blocks are for boys. Apart from this, the mess area of the hostel serves home-like nutritious and delicious cooked food and there are different cuisines available for international or NRI students.
Canteen: At three different locations of the VIT’s campus, three different canteens are established which serve multi-cuisine delicious and standard quality dishes at affordable rates. The seating and relaxing area of these canteens are huge and clean.
Auditorium: The massive auditorium of this institute is called as Anna Auditorium and it is built in an area of 15436 sq feet. The auditorium is installed with all the modern technology, air-conditioned, Wi-Fi facility, and can accommodate up to 1800 students in one go. The space of the auditorium is being used for multiple events like hosting seminars, award ceremonies, conferences, and annual events. Apart from this, the institute has other 4 auditoriums and halls, namely Kamaraj Auditorium (120+ seating capacity), Dr. Ambedkar Auditorium (190+ seating capacity), Multi-purpose Hall (400+ seating capacity), and Dr. M. Channa Reddy Auditorium (450+ seating capacity).
Sports: The Physical Education department of VIT provides massive exposure to the students in the field of sports and games. In order to motivate the students towards physical fitness, the institute has various indoor and outdoor games for both boys and girls like hockey, tennis, volleyball, throw ball, cricket, football, handball, swimming pool, etc. Additionally, VIT takes part in and organises various sports tournaments at district, inter-university, national, and state levels.
Smart Classrooms: The classrooms of VIT are designed in a very modern way and include everything needed for great communication and the exchange of ideas. The seating area of the classroom is spacious, comfortable, and creates a perfect learning and teaching environment.
Transportation Facility: The institute has its own fleet of buses that covers almost all parts of the city and ensures safe, secure, and comfortable bus rides for students. Day scholars can use this facility of the institute to reach college on time. Apart from this, the institute has shuttle cabs that run all around the institute during working hours.
Health Facility: VIT has its own Health Centre which provides healthcare facilities to the students around the clock.
