The campus of Madurai Kamaraj University provides students a clean and green space to pursue their studies. It has approximately 80+ smart classrooms within its campus that are equipped with advanced technology tools. CCTV systems are installed within the overall campus. The details about the facilities provided within the campus are given below: Auditorium: The University has around 2 Auditoriums, a Hall, and a Preview Theatre that are used to organise National and International events such as Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, Cultural Programs, and other activities. All of the places are air-conditioned and well-furnished with modern audio and projection systems. Over Head Projectors, LCD Projectors, and Slide Projectors are also installed within these spaces. Canteen: The University management supervises the activities of canteen made within the campus for its students and faculties. It serves nutritious and delicious food for them at reasonable rates. Hostel: The University’s hostel system consists of Kavimani, Thiruvalluvar, Bharathi, Bharathidasan, and V.O.C Hostels. The Bharathi consists of around 100+ rooms, Kavimanl has 50+ rooms, Bharathidasan and Thiruvalluvar have 50+ rooms, and V.O.C Hostel has 120+ rooms along with 5+ common halls. The facilities of hostels include library, fridge, adequate water supply, and other amenities. The University also has a Women’s Hostel within the campus with a mess facility. All the rooms of the hostel are equipped with Wardrobe Table, Ceiling Fan, Chair, Table, and Cot for each student. Healthcare Centre: The University has a health centre that provides 24 hours medical facilities for its students and staff. Medical treatments are provided at nominal price. The centre is equipped with an X-Ray unit, Ambulance facility, Theatre, ECG, and other facilities. Transportation: The University has 10+ buses that provide commuting facilities for students and faculties. All the buses run on prescribed routes and reach the campus on time.
