About Campus life
Library: The library is spread on 33,205 square feet area and can accommodate 750+ members. Library is spacious and has a collection of more than 2 Lakh volumes which include Books, Thesis, Journals, Back Volumes, etc. Library has more than 1.7 Lakh E - Books and 1250+ E - Journals. Library has a reading room, well equipped digital library, internet facilities and provides services such as multimedia service, reprographic services, etc. Library also has a special unit known as Print Accessibility for Print Disabled where computers are established for visually challenged students to access Braille books and e - resources. Along with this, library also has wheelchair and ramp facilities for differently abled students.
Auditorium: There are 3 auditoriums equipped with modern facilities. The campus I has 2 auditoriums which are known as Swami Vivekananda Auditorium and Thiruchitrambalam Auditorium and campus II has 1 auditorium which is Ammai Appan Auditorium. These auditoriums can accommodate 5000+ members. Along with this, there is also an open stage auditorium, multi - purpose hall and a seminar hall.
Studio: There is a Video Production Studio which is used for content production. It has a studio floor equipped with studio lights, condenser microphones and audio mixer for quality sound, audio and video edit suite with high - end machines for audio editing, along with video switchers.
Canteen: The University has a Saradhalaya canteen which offers healthy, nutritious, and delicious food to the students. The canteen runs with the welfare motive and the students belonging to dietetics department and food science management are given practical exposure at the canteen.
Hostel: There are 6 hostels which provide accommodation facilities to the students. Thirumagal Illam Hostel, Kalaimagal Illam Hostel, Arpana Illam Hostel, Poomagal Illam Hostel, Malaimagal Illam Hostel and Malarmagal Illam Hostel. The hostels have 200+ rooms and can accommodate 900+ students. There is a separate hostel for the students pursuing post graduation. The hostels have mess, TV, gym, and other basic amenities.
Medical: There is a Health Centre at the University which has a medical officer, instrument room, Germi autoanalyser, ECG machine, and other equipment for diagnosis. Free medical camps are conducted to raise awareness about health. There are emergency drugs, well conditioned rooms for the students, and a consultation room.
