About Campus life
The University campus covers over 131 acres of land with excellent infrastructure to provide its students a barrier-free and efficient learning environment. The campus is equipped with all the latest infrastructure facilities. Students are provided education through technology-friendly smart classrooms, computers, CCTV, projectors, etc. The other infrastructure facilities in the campus are stated in the following points:
Library: The Library of the university is known by the name Swami Vivekananda Central Library. It is enriched with the latest collection of books, journals, reports, magazines, newspapers, and reading material covering a wide range of subjects. Computers in the library are equipped with screen reading software for the visually impaired students. Reading rooms are available on the first, second, and third floor of the library building. The library was designed in a way to satisfy the needs of disabled students.
Canteen: The canteen in the university caters to the food demands of students and a place for get-togethers. It offers a variety of delicious food and is open on all days of the week.
Hostel: The University provides free hostel and mess facility to the disabled students as per their requirements. Spacious and well-ventilated hostel rooms are available for both boys and girls students. Each hostel is self-contained with several facilities for comfortable stay. To help and manage the daily affairs of the disabled candidates, attendants are provided by the university.
Sports: Sports are encouraged by the management. An international badminton hall with TURF facility, mini stadium with gym facility, badminton courts and other indoor sports facilities designed for the disabled students are available in the campus. To play outdoor sports, an outdoor stadium with facilities for track and field games is also available.
Medical Facility: Medical and health services are provided to the university students in the "Swasthya Sewa Kendra" opened just adjacent to the hostel block. The medical services like Exercise Therapy, Ultrasonic Therapy, Postural Correction, Electrical Nerve Muscle Stimulator, etc are provided free of cost to the students and staff of the university.
Other Facilities: Bank, Post Office, ATM, Staff Quarters, Computer Centre, Guest House, Special Labs, Talking Book Studio, Braille Press, Artificial Limb and Rehabilitation Centre, etc.
