Sathyabama University now known as Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology is a renowned university that was established in the year 1987. About Campus life

The university is huge and is spread in nearly 400 acres of land and has all the possible facilities that students in general would require. Some of the most distinguished facilities of the university are listed below: Hostels – There are as many as 5 boys and 5 girls hostels at the campus. They are safe and secure and students can feel home at the hostels. The hostels are located close to sports facilities and classrooms, so that students can easily reach out to two of the most prominent places that they spend their maximum time. All hostel rooms are big and have attached washrooms. Students have the option of choosing AC or non-AC rooms. Laundry facility is provided to the students and students can give their clothes for washing twice in a week. The hostellers have to report at the hostel by 6.30 pm. A gymnasium is built close to the hostel and a medical facility is also installed so that hostellers can reach out in case of emergencies. Conference Halls & Auditoriums – There are as many as 4 open theatres at the university and 3 conference halls. All the conference halls and auditoriums are air-conditioned and are laced with latest aids such as over head projectors, slide projector, and LCD projectors. The halls are used during training, placements, seminars, and guest lectures among others. Sports – The sporting infrastructure of the campus is awe-inspiring. Students can use various sporting facilities that are available at the campus such as basketball courts out of which two are indoor courts and four outdoor courts, a 400-mt athletic track, 10 outdoor volleyball courts, and 2 indoor volleyball courts, two clay-court tennis surfaces and one hard-court tennis surface, and as many as 12 badminton courts out of which 6 are indoor and 6 outdoor courts. The sporting facilities are endless at the campus as the university motivates every student to consider a sport as their hobby and play it on daily basis.
