The infrastructure of Utkal University is modern and fulfills all the requirements of an academic hub. The campus of the university is ragging-free and a Student Grievance Cell is also present here. The university has various clubs to cheer the students and provide them with a platform where they can try new things or showcase their hidden talents & passions. The names of these clubs are Athletic club, Creative Writing club, Eco club, Cultural club, Drawing & Painting club, and Debate club. At Utkal University, students are facilitated with 50+ smart classrooms with ICT-enabled teaching and learning technologies, a Wi-Fi-enabled campus with LAN facilities, and other major amenities and facilities like: Library: The University owns a modern Central Library known as Parija Library. This library is built in a five-floor building and covers an area of 28,000 sq. ft. Each floor is dedicated to providing different resources and the fifth floor consists of a reading room that can occupy up to 195+ users. Parija Library facilitates the students with 271000+ books, 150+ print national & international journals, periodicals, 17000+ bound volumes, references, newspapers, etc. An e-library is also present in the campus and its carpet area is 6000 sq. ft. The e-library is divided into two floors, i.e. ground floor and the first floor, and is connected to excellent internet services. The e-library is spacious and fully air-conditioned with a comfortable reading room with a seating capacity of 70+ students. The e-library offers various e-resources like e-books, e-journals, 5000+ theses, and other online databases. Apart from course materials, the library also provides a range of Manuscripts, Vedas, Sanskrit Puraana, etc. The library also facilitates the students with other services like a conference hall, seminar room, GD room, server room, etc. Hostel: The University offers excellent accommodation facilities to students traveling from far away locations. The campus has 13 hostels in total, out of which 7 are for female students and 6 are for male students. The safety and security of the students and the hostel are in the hands of warden and superintendent. The campus of the hostel is student-friendly and the rooms are furnished, well-ventilated, spacious, and clean. For the entertainment of the hostellers, there is a common room with a TV, computer systems, Wi-Fi facilities, a gymnasium, etc. A garden is also present in the hostel campus and the students of the hostels also celebrate events, annual functions and freshers & farewell parties. A mess facility is also available for the hostellers which serve delicious and hygienically cooked meals to the students. Computer Lab: The University has a furnished and well-maintained Computer Centre with 1000+ computer systems and internet connectivity. This computer centre allows the students to do practicals, learn new IT techniques daily, and work on different sponsored programs. Auditorium: The University has a well-furnished auditorium known as MKCG Auditorium. This place is fully air-conditioned, properly maintained, and highly technical. The auditorium can accommodate 500+ people and this space is used to organise various functions, events, shows, and ceremonies. Health Facilities: Utkal University has a Health Center which fulfills the primary health needs of the students. The health center is run under experienced doctors and nurses and it is equipped with all the medical facilities and tools. This center also provides first aid facilities to the students during any outdoor activities and an ambulance is also present on the campus in case of any emergency case. Sports: Utkal University believes that a healthy body and mind are crucial for any student and this can only be achieved by getting involved in physical games and sports. The university focuses on fulfilling the sports interests of the students and for this, it has constructed a sports complex in an area of 52,525 sq. m.
