Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth was established in 2005 and is also known as KIMS University. It was formerly known as Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, Karad. It acquired the Deemed to be University status in 2005 and is accredited by NAAC with “A” grade. The University is approved by UGC and recognised by MCI and DCI. About Campus life
KVV is located in Western Maharashtra. The campus is eco-friendly and is spread over 57 acres. It is well connected by road, air, and rails. It has state of the art infrastructure and facilities for the students such as Laboratories, Departmental Store, ATM, Banking Services, Beauty Parlor, Guest House, and many other facilities which are mentioned below: Library: The library has a huge collection of Books, Reference Books, Journals, Question Papers, Dissertations, CDs, E-Books, E-Journals, E-Resources, etc. Library provides facilities to the students such as internet, referral services, book bank services, reprographic services, OPAC, DELNET, etc. Auditorium: The auditorium can accommodate approximately 1000 students and is used for conducting seminars, conferences, guest lectures, etc. Canteen: The canteen provides tasty North Indian and South Indian food. Proper hygiene standards are maintained and seating facilities are provided to the students. The campus has Amul and Coffee Beans outlets which serve beverages and food. There is also a cake shop which provides delicious pastries and cakes. Hostel: The University provides accommodation facilities to the students. There are 10 hostels which are well equipped with recreation facilities, study room, TV room, common telephone facility, mess which provides variety and nutritious food, lush green surroundings and lawns helps the students to focus on their academics, wardens, and all the basic amenities. The university also has an international hostel which has well furnished rooms, TV room, Wi-Fi, laundry services, mess catering to the taste of the international students, and all the basic amenities. Transportation: The transport department manages the transport facilities for the students. There are buses and different vehicles which offer pick and drop facilities. Sports: The University provides the students with outdoor and indoor sports facilities. This includes Badminton Court, Cricket Ground, Volleyball Court, Football Ground, Tennis Court, Chess Board, Carom Board, etc. Along with this, there are 2 gymnasiums one for heavy weights and the other for cardio. There is also an aerobics class and a well equipped gym for female students.
