About University

Rani Channamma University is a state university located in Belagavi Karnataka and was established in 2010 by the Government of Karnataka to provide higher education to the students of North Karnataka region. The university is named after Rani Channamma, a brave warrior queen of the Kittur Kingdom who fought against the British East India Company. The university has more than 100 affiliated colleges spread across the districts of Belagavi, Bagalkot, and Vijayapura. Rani Channamma University has been accredited with an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has also been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
