The University of Delhi (DU) was established in 1922 as a unitary by the Act of Central Legislative Assembly. The university is approved by UGC and AICTE. The university offers more than 500 programs out of which 200+ programs are NAAC accredited. Vision: The University has a mission to be recognised for imparting excellence in teaching and research with high quality standards. The university maintains its high standards by promoting intellectual growth of students and helping them to nurture their talent. Mission: The mission is to focus on all round development of students by creating a sustainable and engaging environment with all the surrounding communities.

About Campus life
The campus of DU is located in a green area of 69 acres. There are different campuses of University of Delhi like North Campus, South Campus, East Campus, and West Campus. Library: There are several major libraries in the campus which are named as Central Library Complex, FMS Library, Central Science Library, Law Library, Ratan Tata Library, South Campus Library and Braille Library. The libraries consist of various learning materials that are helpful to enhance knowledge of an individual. Hostel: The University has more than 15 hostels to provide residential facilities to the students. Some of the hostels are Rajiv Gandhi Hostel for Girls, Jubilee Hall, Meghdoot Hostel, Aravali Hostel etc. Computer Centre: The computer centre at DU provides advanced learning experience to individuals by offering critical technological support. The motive of the computer centre is to fulfill research requirements of students with proper infrastructural facilities. Sufficient resources and services are provided in order to provide accessible technology and well built IT infrastructure. Conference Centre: The conference centre of DU is fully air conditioned, with a capacity to accommodate more than 300 people at a time. It consists of a beautiful green ambience having spacious lounges and pantry. Academic national and international conferences are held here. Health Centre: The health centre is located in the campus to provide comprehensive medical services to the students 24x7.
