Oriental University Indore is a top private university of the state that came into existence in the year 2011. Today Oriental University, is looked upon as one of the most notable private universities in Central India. OUI Indore was formed by one of the leading charitable trusts of Indore called Devi Shakuntala Thakral Charitable Foundation. The Group started way back in 1995 and since then has made some notable contributions. The university doesn’t just have its colleges in Indore but in Jabalpur and Bhopal too. It is also the first private universities of Indore. Mr. Praveen Thakral is the current chancellor of the university. The university has earned all the recognitions as directed by top bodies like the UGC, PCI, NCTE, and BCI. The University as of now offers around 60 courses in various streams like pharmacy, engineering, commerce, management, law, science, humanities, agriculture, computer application, and education among others. The university offers all the popular degrees like B.Tech, M. Tech, B.Sc, M. Sc, BBA, MBA, B.Com, and B.Ed to name a few. One area in which the university has excelled is in its R&D programs. The campus of the university is lush green and is spread in over 77 acres of land. The university was built by one of the most decorated architects in India, M/s Hafeez Contractors.
